What does In Vitro Fertilization with donor eggs consist of?

FIRST VISIT

It all starts with a completely free first visit with a specialist in PMA, which can be done in person or remotely via video. Our doctor will advise you based on your specific needs. Together, we will decide what suits you best. We care about your health. We are here to help you!

DIAGNOSIS

Once the explorations and corresponding diagnosis have been completed, we create a detailed profile that includes the physical characteristics of the recipient and, if applicable, your partner. This way, when you have made the decision to start your treatment, our donor team can immediately begin the search for a woman between 18 and 34 years old whose hair color, eye color, skin color, physical constitution, and blood type are compatible.

DONOR CANDIDATES

We explain in detail the donation process to the selected candidates and we carry out a complete battery of medical tests, psychological interviews, and clinical analyses that allow us to rule out diseases, genetic incompatibilities, or psychological aspects that could be transmitted to the future baby. This process usually lasts about a month.

PREPARATION

Once we have the best donor for you, we will inform you when we start her stimulation treatment. If you wish and it is possible, we can opt for a transfer in your natural cycle.

FERTILIZATION and CULTIVATION

We proceed to the extraction of a limited number of her eggs and immediately prepare them in our IVF laboratory. We fertilize them with a viable sperm and then place them in a high-tech incubator that allows us to track their development until they reach the blastocyst stage.

GENÉTOQUE TEST

We perform preimplantation genetic testing to exclude any genetic abnormalities. For your safety and that of your baby, we typically transfer a single embryo on the fifth day of development. In the case that we obtain more than one embryo, we cryopreserve them for future attempts.

EMBRYO TRANSFER

The long-awaited moment has arrived, the transfer is a magical, fast, generally painless moment, performed by the same doctor who has followed the entire treatment: at NatuVitro, if you have a partner, they can be by your side during this special moment. According to Spanish law, egg donation, like any organ or biological tissue donation, is anonymous and altruistic. This means that neither the donor nor the recipient can know the identity of the other person. Once you are known to your doctor at NatuVitro, along with your partner if you have one, and your donor, it will be your doctor's responsibility to ensure the maximum compatibility between both parties, as well as the safety and well-being of both.
